In this workshop, Gary Hirshberg (Founder, Hirshberg Entrepreneurship Institute, Co-Founder and Chief Organic Optimist, Stonyfield Organic) will share some of his real life learnings and practical advice and provide a simple, easy-to-use tool for how to forecast and manage your enterprise’s cash needs. Organic Plant Propagation (1/2 day)

Become more self-sufficient in your gardening endeavours by acquiring the basic knowledge and practical skills needed to produce quality plants at home. This half-day jam packed workshop is an excellent opportunity for gardeners who are eager to dive into the world of seedling production. Topics will include: Planning, seed selection, sowing methods, selecting and making potting mix, problem solving, caring for your plants, pests and disease, watering, environmental control and more.
Organic Beekeeping (1 Day)

Focusing on both practical skills and theory. With hands-on learning for bee management in an organic system, backed up with theory content of the requirements needed to achieve a certified organic apiary.
Native Revegetation (1 Day)
Date TBC.
Focusing on both practical skills and theory. A course outlining species selection for the type of growing site, management practices for weed control until canopy cover in both an organic manner and conventional. This course will include a farm walk showcasing the gullies and wetlands that have been replanted on the farm, our successes’ and failures.
Native Seed Collection and Propagation (1 Day)

A practical course showing techniques of seed collection and sowing for native trees. It will be run from the farm’s tree nursery, and will include time in one of the three bush blocks and in the native gullies.
